Cadwalader's Diversity Committee and Diversity Director spearhead Cadwalader’s diversity initiatives. The Director of Diversity is charged with overseeing all aspects of the firm's efforts to promote and monitor the recruitment, retention, training and promotion of diverse personnel, including community outreach and developing and implementing policies and procedures.
Jeremiah DeBerry is Cadwalader's Director of Diversity. Prior to joining Cadwalader, he served as the President of the National Attorney of Color Network, an organization he founded as a resource for legal employers seeking to establish a diverse workforce. Prior to that, he was a partner at a prominent New York City law firm, where he served on the Diversity Committee and was responsible for drafting the firm's Guiding Principles. Mr. DeBerry earned his J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where he was Editor of the Virginia Law Review and an Earl Warren Legal Scholar. He holds a B.A. from Tufts University and completed the Executive Training Program on Corporate Governance at North western University's Kellogg School of Management. He is admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut.
