Matthew J. Armstrong
Matthew Armstrong is a corporate and securities lawyer who represents banks and other financial institutions in purchasing, selling, financing, and securitizing commercial and residential mortgage loans and related assets. Mr. Armstrong primarily represents issuers and underwriters in the public and private issuance of commercial and residential mortgage-backed securities. He also has experience drafting agreements for the purchase and sale of mortgage loans, creation of participation interests, and repackaging of distressed assets. Mr. Armstrong received his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law-Camden and his B.A., summa cum laude, from Drew University. While in law school, he served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Rutgers Journal of Law and Urban Policy and interned in the Enforcement Division of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Mr. Armstrong is licensed to practice law in the States of New York and New Jersey.
